Long Earrings by Rachel Stowe

These earrings are lightweight as they are made from hand-dyed and hand-printed aluminium. The ear studs, posts and butterflies are made from silver. Part of Rachel's collection for the Unity display in celebration of The Eurovision Song Contest.

I love using colour, pattern, and texture to create wearable and functional hand painted and hand printed fashion products. In 1997 I launched my business producing unique hand painted and printed silk and velvet textile accessories. Experimenting with layering various techniques, including devore dye reduction, wax resist, screen printing and hand painting, stripping the cloth and adding further colours creating sumptuous fabrics.
