Parrot Brooch by Iris De La Torre

£36.00

This parrot brooch is a variation of the parrot design which Iris originally created for the 2018 V&A Museum Exhibiton, 'Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up'.

The parrot is based on Frida Kahlo’s pets, and her use of birds in her paintings. Iris' approach to designing this brooch was inspired by the beauty and rich exotic colours of the birds from Mexico and South America.

Dimensions: 7 cm (W) x 6.3 cm (H)

Made of shimmering glitter silver acrylic and printed rainbow graphic feathers, with a base metal and stainless steel clasp components. The brooch comes packaged in a printed gift box, with a card depicting an illustration of the Parrot.
