Lee Mattocks make a range of vintage and contemporary style bags, satchels and backpacks.
Lee conducted research into leather at Nottingham Trent University to evaluate the use of leather for fashion products. The research led to strict choices regarding suppliers and design. He utilizes the latest CNC Knife cutting machinery and a unique seamless method of leather craft and construction to produce leather goods in a more ethical and circular way. His unique seam designs require no intensive factory processes, and they are all built by hand in Nottingham.
Lee’s work has been exhibited across national exhibitions including The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, The Bonington Gallery and The Museum of Handbags & Purses in Amsterdam. His bags have also been included in the publications on Fashion Accessory Design by John Lau and exhibited at The V&A in London, Bilbao Art & Fashion exhibits, and The Mall Galleries in London.
