Stack Blue Pebble Necklace by Bronwen Gwillim

This beautiful necklace is one of an ongoing series of stacked pebble necklaces, each inspired by the process of balancing towers of pebbles on the beach.

Each bead is double-sided and so the necklace can be configured differently to give a range of looks as is illustrated in the pictures. It is made from waste plastic and plastic dust composite with waxed cotton cord and an adjustable fitting.

Largest Pebble: (W) 7.8 cm

Max length of cord: 45 cm

Bronwen makes statement, one-off pieces of wearable art jewellery from waste plastic. She collects, reuses and upcycles beach plastic from the beaches where she lives on the Pembrokeshire coast.

Bronwen imbues these soulless materials with a natural, weather-worn character by working their surfaces till their colours soften and they feel natural in the hand. She uses shapes and textures inspired by the sea and her walks on the foreshore at the bottom of her garden.
