Egg Wrack Necklace by Bronwen Gwillim
A one-off orange egg wrack necklace made from an off-cut of thick waste netting with hand-moulded coloured resin beads.
Inspired by the long strands of egg wrack seaweed that cover the Pembrokeshire foreshore. Wear it in one long strand or in two or three layers.
Bronwen makes statement, one-off pieces of wearable art jewellery from waste plastic. She collects, reuses and upcycles beach plastic from the beaches where she lives on the Pembrokeshire coast. Bronwen cuts, shapes and forms it by hand and combines with industrial waste plastic, recycled silver and resins (into which she recycles her own waste plastic dust.) She aims to keep her carbon footprint low, using mostly reclaimed materials and hand tools.
