Murmur Vessel by Francisca Onumah

A beautiful oxidised copper vessel. Working with sheet metal, Francisca layers repeated hammered marks and textile patterns with different mark making techniques. Figurative vessels and objects are formed using various fabrication techniques. The objects lean into each other as if in conversation, sitting in a shadowy scenery of tactility.

Dimensions: 21.5cm (H) x 5.5cm (dia)

Drawn to finding character and a human-like semblance in inanimate objects, the Ghanaian born silversmith creates ambiguous vessels and jewellery that reflect vulnerabilities and strengths through their anthropomorphic forms.
