Xanthoria Sacrificial Stone by Verity Howard
Verity has hand built this piece made from white stoneware clay, coloured slips and underglaze. Verity makes works that explore mystery, trigger memories, generate atmosphere and evoke a sense of place.

Verity takes inspiration from the landscape, history and culture surrounding her in rural Herefordshire. Verity graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2015 with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Three Dimensional Design. Since graduating Verity has participated in the Project Network Ceramics Residency at Guldagergaard, Denmark and she exhibits nationally and internationally. In 2019 Verity exhibited at Ceramic Art London and she returned to exhibit for a second time in 2022. In 2021 Verity became a Selected Member of the Craft Potters Association and in 2022 she exhibited at Ceramic Art Andenne, Belgium. Verity continues to be featured in international publications including New Ceramics and Ceramics Art and Perception.
