A beautiful slim bottle stoneware vase with a blue twisted handle. The base of the twisted handle is adorned with John Kershaw’s signature stamp.
“Most of my work is thrown on the wheel, as I prefer the shape and details produced by the action. I enjoy creating different textures of clay and glaze, often using powdered clays on a wet thrown pot to build up a thick surface. I’m influenced primarily by ancient and primitive pottery, as the means of making are direct and very straightforward. I use a copper Barium matt glaze on much of my work, with a variety of coloured glazes for brush decoration.” – John Kershaw
