Returns & Refunds

Online Shop

We understand that buying craft is often a very personal and intuitive experience, and when purchasing online you may not always end up with the piece you’ve been looking for.

If you change your mind for any reason about an item bought on our online shop and wish to return it for a refund, please let us know in writing by emailing crafts@bluecoatdisplaycentre.com within 14 days of the date that you received your order.  Please provide your contact and order details, and the Bdc team will provide instructions for how to proceed with the return.

Items must be returned in perfect condition, in their original packaging, and returned within 14 days of the date the return was agreed.

On receipt of the item, the cost of the item (once condition checked) will be credited to the original purchase credit or debit card. Any shipping charges will not be refunded. International custom duties and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the UK.

We recommend using an insured method of delivery for returning items and obtaining proof of postage, for your own protection. If you have any concerns about how to safely pack an item, please contact us and our gallery team will be happy to advise. We cannot accept responsibility for postage fees or for any items damaged, lost or stolen in transit.

Wedding & Engagement Rings

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase from our wedding & engagement ring collection, and would like to exchange or receive a refund, please let us know in writing by emailing crafts@bluecoatdisplaycentre.com and return the item to us in its original, unworn condition and packaging within 14 days of receipt. Refunds are made via the same payment method you used online; we do not offer refunds via our Liverpool Gallery.

Please note that the original postage costs are not refundable and we do not accept any responsibility for the return postage costs. Exceptions to this would be in the unlikely event an item is faulty upon receipt.

Read our handy sizing guide to help you find the correct ring size. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they have chosen the correct size. If the size is wrong on collection the customer may incur a small charge to cover the costs of rectifying any mistake and any additional postage costs relating to the sizing adjustment.

If you are planning a surprise proposal and are unsure of your partner's size, we advise you to purchase the ring as is, and then return it for a resize later.

Bespoke pieces and items that have been customised to a customer's request are exempt from any exchange or refund.

As above, we recommend using an insured method of delivery for returning items and obtaining proof of postage, for your own protection. We cannot accept responsibility for postage fees or for any items damaged, lost or stolen in transit.

Gallery

Items seen and bought in the Bluecoat Display Centre, College Lane, Liverpool L1 3BZ, can be returned in perfect condition within 3 weeks of the original transaction date, with a valid receipt. Bdc does not offer refunds against items bought in the gallery but these items may be exchanged or a credit note issued.

Commissioned Items

Please note that the right to return for a refund does not apply to items made to order or commissioned, unless the item is faulty.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
