Object of Intrigue 'Crannoge' by Sarah Cathers
£216.00
This beautiful mixed media wall piece is made from found objects. It is part of a collection of wall pieces that are a love letter to the Mourne Landscape where Sarah grew up. Most of the objects featured were found in the Newry and Mourne area and surrounding coast line of Carlingford Lough.
Crannoge is an area in the Mourne mountain range. The elements that make up the wall piece are piece of metal found on a farm yard outside Hilltown, a piece of metal washed up on Greencastle beach and the crocheted elements are made by Sarah from a box of different net-making yarns that belonged to a fisherman who used to work on Carlingford Lough in the 90's.
