‘ I started making jewellery in 1991 and haven’t stopped since! My studio is based in Manchester where you will find me making jewels, drinking tea & listening to the radio’.
How it started………after 5 years of study I discovered my love of texture and movement that are the constant detail in my jewellery collections. My inspiration and jewellery style derives from petal and leaf patterns in nature that create natural repeated forms and beautiful intricate detail. Through my jewellery design and making processes I aim to create layers upon layers of silver tags or loops combined with different finishes and stones to create mini moveable sculptures to be worn.
Mostly I work in silver with some gold and my metal finishes tend to be brushed and oxidised silver. As well as the layering of multiple units to create texture I sometimes apply texture to the units intensifying the finish further. Jewellery production from my studio mostly uses recycled materials and carefully sourced stones.'
