3D printed vessel – Plum KT08 by Keeley Traae

£30.00

Beautiful 3D printed vessel in a gorgeous Plum colour by award winning designer maker Keeley Traae

Each design begins with a pencil sketch followed by the creation of a digital 3D surface, which is then printed. Keeley uses biodegradable PLA, which is short for Polylactic Acid, a thermoplastic polymer derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, potato starch, or sugar cane.

The nature of the process and materials make each piece unique, with striations and marks adding individuality.

Due to the biodegradable nature of the materials, the objects are not waterproof, but dried flowers look beautiful. Or why not purchase one of Hannah Nunn's beautiful posies to complement it.

This is one of several vessels we have in by Keeley - as you can see they look great together!  Check her other designs here

This ‘hello beautiful’ collection began in 2020 during the lockdown. Keeley started to explore digital design technology to create her forms which are then 3D printed in her studio. Each design begins with a sketch followed by a digitally crafted 3D file. Keeley is enjoying developing her own aesthetic, inspired by her love for mid-century design blended with classic silhouettes and geometry found in nature. Forms are ribbed, faceted, and fluted, and have tactile surface finishes.
