This Dark Leaf Pod is inspired by seedpods. Sage and lavender leaves have been rolled onto the surface of the clay leaving behind a skeletal imprint, almost like the fossilized wing of a dragonfly. A single leaf has been highlighted with 24ct gold leaf to catch the light.
Lisa Ellul is a ceramist based in the beautiful Peak District National Park. From her workshop she designs and hand makes sculptural vessels and forms inspired by the natural world. She has been a designer maker for twenty eight years and has exhibited nationally and internationally. Lisa has pieces in the William Alfred Ismay collection bequeathed to the Yorkshire Museum and the “Made In Manchester” collection at the City Gallery, Manchester.
