Small Long Vessel by Sue Mundy

Small Vessel by Sue Mundy is an elegant ceramic form decorated with finely incised sgraffito lines that sweep across its dark surface. The delicate linear patterns contrast with the pale interior, creating a simple yet striking exploration of texture, rhythm, and craftsmanship.

Dimensions: (H)7.3cm X (L) 20cm X (W)8.7cm at widest

Sue's current body of work explores the forms and surface textures discovered through close observation of trees and bones. During her daily walks in local woodlands, Sue continues to find inspiration in the unexpected shapes of felled trees and the intricate nodules that grow from them. Working primarily with slow, repetitive hand-building techniques, she allows each piece to develop gradually and thoughtfully.
