"I work with found objects which inspire textures, shapes and colours.
Mainly using metal and ceramic to create forms, I combine these with the objects. Sometimes the found objects appear within the pieces, sometimes creating textures on the pieces and sometimes inspiring shapes and colours.
Creating a sense of place in my work has become important to me this year as found objects can evoke memories of people and histories, including my own.
The work should remind the owner of special days and keep their found objects safe for the future"- Sarak Kirk
