My mosaics derive from a deep emotional attachment to Liverpool and its urban landscape. I am under its spell. The city as muse. A majestic beauty with dirt under its fingernails. It is, to me, a living, breathing entity that dazzles with its adornments of gold and terracotta blooms. It is addictive, ever changing and seductive. I attempt to capture its spirit in ceramic and print. Captivated by its decorative details and nuances. The city given a tactile face. Brick, stone and concrete personified. A love song, hymn, poem to my city, the muse.
