Inspiration for this piece was taken from the Gianted Hummingbird, which Tiffany has depicted nesting within a profusion of Fuchsia blooms.
This piece has been thrown on the wheel, left to slightly dry and then goes through many different techniques using drawing, carving, clay slips and sgraffito to create the intricate designs onto the damp clay surface.
The decoration continues across the base which is a very unusual and distinctive feature of Tiffany's ceramic art.
Every unique design has been created by hand with love, care and attention to detail. Each piece takes many hours and no two will ever look the same.
