A small vessel made from black clay and patinated copper.

"Found objects are at the heart of my practice and are mostly sourced from the Sefton coastline. My finds include rusted metal, wood, glass and stone which are being slowly uncovered by the elements. They are used as inspiration for glaze colours and for the patination, shape and texture of the copper additions. The objects themselves are used to texture the clay.
By combining ceramic and metal, I hope to evoke a sense of place and tell a story of people and memory." - Sarah Kirk
