The Gladstone rug by Margo Selby is hand tufted in varying shades of blues and greens which change in tone as the light hits them from different angles. Inspired by the forms of cut glass, each motif is individually hand tufted, then carved creating a complex geometric pattern. The nine colours in the design balance to build a unified composition.

Materials: approx. 75% Indian Chokla Wool - natural, durable, versatile, sustainable - and 25% Tencel.
Hand Tufted: Luxurious pile, tightly packed yarn - these rugs are handmade on upright frames using a very precise technique of inserting and looping yarn tufts through a canvas backing, with handheld tools. Features of this method are the density of pile and crispness of line, with optional varied pile heights hand-carved to create a three-dimensional effect.
