'The Chosen Few Bronze' comprises a motion-captured, bronze figure mounted on a bronze girder. Resting on a concrete block and timber slab, the sculpture is presented on a rotating lazy Susan plinth, emphasizing its sculptural form through continuous viewing.

St Helens-based comedian Johnny Vegas is perhaps best known for his surreal sense of humour, however he originally trained in art and ceramics at the University of Middlesex. During the COVID pandemic, Johnny found solace in creativity, and three decades after he graduated, he returned to the studio following a chance encounter with Wirral-based sculptor Emma Rodgers. Together, they have created new works inspired by themes of flight and metamorphosis.

Some folk don't get it, family or friends often make fun of my weirdness, but as a loner I've learnt to find beauty, mutual appreciation and ultimately inspiration from the inanimate. Solace in the visually discarded. I'm in no better company than when I glimpse a natural form or a lathe turned attempt to borrow from the genius and beauty of nature. I'm captivated by the background of a photo, not the subject in the foreground.
