Mann Island & Hidden Graces with Propeller Print by Alun Evans

£380.00

The print is made up of four hand drawn sheets of kodatrace which are then photo processed onto the screens. The print is conservation framed in a natural oak moulding.

Each of the works are individual pieces of fine art rather than part of an edition. A finished print may include 15–20 squeegee passes as well as collaged screen-printed elements, and digital imagery. Additionally, the works use gesso and acrylic wash. “I’m fascinated by the scale and muscularity of the waterfront buildings and how they compete with one another as I walk along the dockside vistas.”- Alun Evans

The three classically styled, ocean facing, light stone, Graces were rudely obscured by the construction of the black elevations of the dark, mysterious, dock anchored apartment blocks when viewed from the south. The propeller is from the 1915 wreck of Lusitania and sits as a dockside memorial.
