A small black stoneware round form, creased on two sides. The thrown vessel allows Dan to work in a spontaneous, intuitive way, keeping the soft clay qualities of a freshly thrown piece and adding contrasting details. Over the years he has refined his work and simplified the finished surface, working mainly with a monochrome palette.
