Dionne Marshall is the artist and printmaker behind Punctured Artefact, a studio dedicated to the alchemical process of etching. Her work focuses on creating original, limited-edition copperplate etchings, each individually hand-pulled from an intaglio printing press onto archival paper. These pieces often combine various traditional and experimental techniques, including aquatint, spit-bite, drypoint, embossing, and experimental resists.

Driven by a passion for technical challenge, Dionne strives for detail, precision and complexity in her art, often working on a small scale.

Dionne is inspired by nature, (sacred) geometry, symbolism, symmetry, alchemy, esoterica & entomology. Her work explores the intersection of organic forms and structured geometry. Blending clean, angular lines with the delicate textures of dot-work and soft aquatint. These elements are woven together through intricate motifs & patterns that oscillate between natural and mathematical.

Dionne is committed to using non-toxic etching methods throughout her practice. In addition to her printmaking, she explores her artistic vision through textiles, tattoos, and digital art.
